Wa No Michi Ryu Karate & Kobudo
Wa No Michi Ryu Karate
and Kobudo is an American Christian style of Martial Arts created officially in
1995 by Soke Michael McGann. Wa No Michi Ryu means the
"Way of Peace" and is a combination of various systems: Karate, Kenpo, KungFu, Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Aikido and
Kobudo. To excel at anything in this life it is very important to have a way to
follow. Our current membership is composed of people of many faiths and
cultures, and all are welcome to become part of the Wa
No Michi Ryu family. Soke McGann, a very devout Christian, he is following the
lead of the Native American Church where Christians and non-Christian
Traditionalists are all part of the same congregation and family. Soke McGann
is a strong enough Christian to allow people of all beliefs to be part of the
family and share the common ground in the "Way of Peace".
Wa No Michi Ryu is
recognized both Nationally and Internationally and the list of systems that
recognize our system reads like a Martial Arts who's-who. Our list of
affiliates also is very impressive. We owe all of this to the great leadership
in Wa No Michi Ryu.
